Football Manager 2012 is the latest game from the Football Manager series. The game allows you to take control of any club from all over the world and put your managing skills to the test. You are put in charge of a club and are expected to make decisions that will benefit the team. Though you are the manager of the team, and most of the decisions are up to you; the board of directors will supervise your performance and if it’s not up to their expectations, you might simply get sacked.
The realism of the game will be apparent as soon as you start playing. You have the possibility to talk to the whole team at once or have a "face to face" talk with your players, and tell them what you expect from them or what you think of their latest performance. Talking to your players can lead to morale raises or eventually even better performance, but these talks could also back-fire you and make your players disheartened.

Just like in real life, you can rely on the club’s scouting team to find young and talented players, which with time, can break into the first team. You can also buy the players you need. Either way you will have to deal with the players’ and their agents' financial demands.

The 3D Match engine has been improved, compared to the previous versions, and offers a better overview of every player’s performance. The game can simulate conditions from real life, therefore your plans might get foiled by bad weather, bad referees or even the bad condition of a football pitch.

If you are new to the game you can use the available tutorial that will help you find your way through the game. The game also offers you tips and hints that will help you better understand the game of football.

Football Manager 2012 is a game that approaches the reality with a high degree of accuracy.
